Stonehaven is the historic county town of Kincardine & Mearns within the Aberdeenshire Region.
There are many attractions within Stonehaven and surrounding areas.


The beautiful Harbour area with fine pubs with a great selection of Ales, good food and friendly
service is less than five minutes walk from The Beachview.

You can visit The Tolbooth Museum where you will see the Pneumodesmus Newmani Exhibition 
which relates to the oldest known air-breathing land animal: a tiny millipede that lived 428 million
years ago and was discovered in a layer of sandstone rocks on Cowie foreshore in Stonehaven by
Mike Newman, a bus driver and fossil enthusiast from Aberdeen.

About 3 miles south lies the famous Dunnottar Castle which is open to Visitors

At the North End you will find the heated Open Air Pool which is open
from first Sunday in June until early September.
Midnight Swimming Sessions are held every Wednesday throughout the summer.

There is an Indoor Leisure Centre and Bowling Club, Outdoor Tennis Courts and a
Putting and Bowling Green and the stunning Golf Course.

You can enjoy an excellent Bay walk from the Harbour to the Open Air Pool

There are several Events throughout the year including
Famous Fireball Festival,
Folk Festival
Highland Games.
